The major social media platforms which belong to Google are going through some technical problems. According to the data collected by Downdetector, such sites as Snapchat, Gmail and YouTube were affected, starting from June 1. Users from the eastern part of the United States, as well as from some European countries struggled to log in the abovementioned social networks, send and receive messages etc. Google quickly reacted to the issue. It was soon determined that the core of the problem was in Google Cloud, which is directly linked to all of the services. At the moment, the developer team is still working on fixing the issue. “We are investigating an issue with Google Compute Engine. We will provide more information by Sunday, 2019-06-02 12:45 US/Pacific,” is mentioned in the latest announcement of Google. The community is quite displeased with such a huge outage and express their thoughts about it on Twitter.
