Soon the developers of Windows 10 will open the possibility for third-party virtual assistants. For example, in the next update of the world’s most popular Windows 10 desktop operating system, which should be released in September, developers will allow Alexa Amazon to activate the lock screen. This will allow the device to wake up after the “sleep” mode, saying aloud “Alexa”.
By and large, this is a small change, but it shows that Microsoft is ready to unlock the potential of third-party virtual assistants in Windows 10.
