One of the branches of the biggest tech company in Japan – LINE Pay Corporation has announced its cooperation with the global financial service Visa to create a new fintech service for merchant and retail customers. Two companies plan to allow users to conduct business-to-business (B2B) and cross-border payments. The thing that attracted many crypto-related people is the possibility to use “alternative currency transactions,” however, it is too early to talk about crypto. The CEO of LINE Pay and LINE Fintech Company, Youngsu Ko, said: “With Visa’s global network and infrastructure, LINE Pay users will be able to enjoy the advantages of that innovative, worldwide network.” Furthermore, LINE Pay users will get an opportunity to apply for a digital Visa card to make payments through a digital wallet app. Some offers will include digital payments from overseas and integrated loyalty programs. Merchants and retailers will also benefit from this cooperation, LINE Pay users will be able to pay at Visa’s 54 million merchant locations.
