Enthusiasts who have studied the beta code of iOS 13.1, found a mention of a new gadget from Apple. A certain STARTester application was found inside the firmware, there was a Readme file with a mention of an unannounced gadget called Garta. It is not known exactly what the new device is, but the resource MacRumors suggests that this is the code name for the augmented reality headset or a pair of smart glasses that are now being actively developed inside Apple. By the code, the STARTester application is designed to simulate the operation of this headset using a smartphone. With it, users will be able to test AR-applications without having to purchase a device on which it will work. The application has two modes of use: when the AR gadget is worn on the head and when it is in the user`s hands. Despite the fact that the creation of Apple is still far from complete, the company is showing incredible success in mastering Augmented Reality technology. Recently it demonstrated its achievements with the example of Minecraft Earth, which brings the familiar blocky visual effects of the game to your real life using the iPhone and iPad. There are rumors that the headset can be intended not only for entertainment but also to help people with visual impairments, that is, in fact, it will become a medical device. According to unconfirmed reports, the release is scheduled for the end of 2020, perhaps Garta will be shown with iPhone 12. But it is unlikely that this device will be represented at the upcoming conference, which will be held on September 10.
