The Coin Shark: Germany closed the site DarkMarket
Germany closed the site DarkMarket?
The German authorities closed the marketplace, on which more than 320 thousand transactions were made. Darknet clients transferred more than 4.65 thousand BTC and 12.8 thousand XMR to each other
The information came with reference to the German authorities, who announced the arrest of a 34-year-old Australian citizen responsible for the activities of DarkMarket.
On this darknet site, drugs, stolen personal data, and other illegal products were traded. All transactions in the marketplace were carried out using cryptocurrency.
Over the entire period of its existence, the trading turnover of the site amounted to $170 million. It was listed as the largest darknet marketplace for 3 months until it was closed.
The investigation was carried out by Europol forces. Law enforcement officers from Denmark, the United States, Switzerland, Britain and Ukraine worked together with representatives of Germany. The FBA, DEA and IRS have played a decisive role in the investigation of the crimes.
