The French video game developer, Ubisoft company, will give everyone free access to “Assassin’s Creed Unity” game, which will allow players to experience the greatness of Notre Dame de Paris. The fire that destroyed the architectural provoked the movement of volunteers not only in France, but also far beyond its borders, pushing people to donate large sums for its reconstruction, and Victor Hugo’s novel “Notre-Dame de Paris” suddenly appeared in the books top charts. “We stand in solidarité with our fellow Parisians and everyone around the world moved by the devastation the fire caused”, the Ubisoft representatives wrote on the site. “We want to give everyone the chance to experience the majesty and beauty of Notre-Dame the best way we know how.” During this week, everyone will have the opportunity to download a free version of the game “Assassin’s Creed Unity”, the release of which was announced back in 2014. The game takes place in 1789, and players are a part of a secret society of assassins who roam the city, chasing rival groups. The game contains a digital 3D version of the cathedral, built on the basis of a real construction plan. It is worth noting that Ubisoft is directly involved in the restoration of the cathedral – the company donated 500 thousand euros. According to representatives of the company, they want to help revive this historical monument so that everyone can get to know it not only virtually, but also in person.
