The Coin Shark: Apple Hysteria: Sales of iPhone 11 Exceed All Expectations of Experts

  • Wednesday, 18 September 2019 20:00
Analysts and experts close to Apple report that sales of the new iPhone 11 models exceeded forecasts already at the pre-order stage. Some smartphone configurations in certain colors have already been sold out completely. After the presentation of the new iPhone line with its peculiar design of the camera module on the back, it was difficult to determine how popular the model will become among buyers. Especially, against competitors like the Samsung Galaxy S10, Huawei P30 Pro, Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and the future Huawei Mate 30 Pro. Sales trends of the previous generation iPhone did not predict any positive news for Apple. As HB has already written, the third fiscal quarter of the company in 2019 became the worst smartphone sales in the last seven years. In the three months from late spring to mid-summer, Apple company managed to earn $26 billion from iPhone sales, which is almost $4 billion less than the same period last year. Despite this, analysts report that sales of the iPhone 11 have already exceeded forecasts, although now smartphones can only be purchased by reservation, and their delivery will begin on September 20. It is expected that China has again become one of the most profitable markets for Apple. According to the Chinese e-commerce site JD.com, on the first day of pre-ordering the iPhone 11, sales were up 480% from the first day smartphone orders last year. The most popular were the iPhone 11 Pro models in midnight green, as well as the base iPhone 11 in black and purple. Some complete sets of iPhone 11 in various colors are already completely sold out. This means that customers will have to wait a few more weeks for the company to be able to deliver new smartphones to their stores.
