Bobby Lee, A board member of Bitcoin Foundation, Former CEO and co-founder of BTCC, VP of Technology, Walmart, China E-commerce. BTCC started as BTC China in 2011, as the first Bitcoin exchange in China. It is the longest running Bitcoin Exchange. It was acquired by a Hong Kong-based blockchain investment fund recently. The founder of BTCC, Bobby Lee attended the #BlockchainConnect Conference to give a keynote on the anti-money laundry topic. In the interview, Bobby shared his experiences establishing BTCC, his opinion on the recent market, and why he is not a supporter for ICOs. When Heidi asked about the recent bear market, Bobby said, “I think it’s a price correction,” and you should not be sad about it, because “if you (are) in the crypto world, you are in it for a long term investment, not just a year or 6 months.” The ups and downs in the cryptocurrency market is normal, and I had been through a lot of these during the growth of BTCC. Bobby does not support ICOs, because he thinks “many of them raise ICO money is only for the purpose of raising ICO money, while their business model does not require token, coin or fundraising.” As an entrepreneurs and an individual investor, he thinks that entrepreneurs that are not giving investors equity but only tokens is not fair. He is more inclined to traditional venture financing. ---------- Please follow Heidi on LinkedIn http://bit.ly/heidiyu Twitter: @heidihanyu Support Heidi's startup: BOOSTO.io Support crypto community: CryptoInfluence.io
