One Minute Economics: The Economics (NOT Politics) Behind K-Shaped Recoveries Explained in One Minute

  • Saturday, 12 September 2020 22:29
K-shaped recoveries have been discussed more and more among economists and politicians alike in light of the 2020 situation on the one hand and the looming US elections on the other. As such, it makes sense to put the economics behind K-shaped recoveries under the microscope and right off the bat, it is important to make it clear that I am politically and even ideologically agnostic. As always, the modus operandi as far as One Minute Economics is concerned revolves around explaining concepts in a level-headed rather than ideologically charged manner. In this case, the economics and most certainly NOT politics behind K-shaped recoveries have been explained in... you've guessed it, one minute :) From definition to examples, I did my best to make it clear that understanding K-shaped recoveries generally speaking and of course in the context of the 2020 economic crisis is hardly in the realm of rocket science. All it takes is a healthy dose of common sense and an open mind... easier said than done this year, however, for obvious reasons :(
