One Minute Economics: The Economics and Practicality of Working from Home in One Minute: From Employees to Entrepreneurs
Is working from home the best thing since sliced bread for absolutely everyone, from employees to entrepreneurs?
Contrary to what those with a "work from home = paradise" philosophy would like you to think, there are pros but also cons involved.
On the one hand, sure, the benefits of working from home such as no longer wasting time in traffic are quite tempting. Fair enough.
But what about the drawbacks associated with being anything from an employee to an entrepreneur who works from home? What about the decrease in social interaction, what about practical aspects related to teamwork and so on?
What you need to understand is that working from home is by no means a miracle-solution. Like everything else in life, it's a decision you have to make after factoring in the economics of it all, the practicality and so on.
For many people, sure, it's a dream come true.
But make no mistakes, there are quite a few instances in which working from home turns into a productivity nightmare. The bottom line is this: the decision is yours and only yours to make, so be sure to add a healthy dose of pragmatism to the mix.
