DHVC (Danhua Capital) is one of the top and earliest venture capital funds in the blockchain industry. Heidi interviews the Managing Director of DHVC, Judy Yan at Blockchain Connect 2018, where Judy attended as a panelist. "DHVC was funded by Professor Shoucheng Zhang who is a professor at Stanford. And we are backed up by lots of China internet chains as well as some phenomena US investors." DHVC has 350 million USD funds, and investing in both blockchain industry and traditional industries. DHVC focuses on different verticals, in terms of investing in blockchain projects. Last year, they focused on cross-chain, privacy, decentralized marketplace. And this year, they focus on security and decentralized network. Judy's suggestions for entrepreneurs in the blockchain industry: 1. Know about how to use the business innovation to resolve technology problem; 2. It's a highly volatile industry, so you should believe this since you are working on, and you should be very persistent. For blockchain project entrepreneurs, they should not only focus on like a token side but also raise equity funding at the same time. "I think there are more and more opportunities there." Judy shared about her experience attending a token summit in NY one year ago. Within 1,000 attendees, "I counted how many females," Judy said, "I think it's below 10."
