ICO Review: Tutellus (TUT) The Decentralized & Collaborative EdTech Platform Tutellus is an existing EdTech platform that is trying to improve the offered services through the usage of blockchain and crypto. Currently the platform has around 1M students and is the leading educational platform in the Spanish speaking world. They are creating their own cryptocurrency called TUT token. The aim of the token is to become the foundaction of a new reward system for students and teachers. The usage of blockchain will allow Tutellus to provide a next generation online educational market. Tokens: Two token system: TUT and STUT. STUT is the internal token used for rewards for example action related to learning or helping other users. It basically a reputation token that measures relevance or importance of the user. The STUT token can only be traded to TUT, and only under certain conditions. The user cannot buy STUT at any point: it must be earned by doing actions inside the platform. TUT is the currency inside the platform and is used to buy services, products, scholarhips and anything related to money. Verdict: Exsiting platform trying to use crypto and blockchain to both expand and improve the quality of service. The project is nicely planned out with good developments in 2018. In terms of the token economics for the ICO they aren't too bad but there could be few improvements here and there. Accepting NEM and BTC for contribution is very interesting. Verdict: 8.3/10 Hype factor: low Short term investment score: 8.2/10 The hard is quite high which could cause problems but the unsold tokens are burned and considering the fact that it is an existing platform the market cap should be higher than BitDegree which means that there is potential especially if hard cap is not reached. Running on NEM could increase hype. Long term investment score: 8.4/10 I feel that this project is a perfect use case for blockchain and crypto since it can reward users for taking courses. Since it's an existing platform the implementation of the project should be easier.
