How Much of A Systemic Risk Is SoftBank? Is SoftBank the next Lehman Brothers? SoftBank is a Japanese corporation founded in the 1980s. They currently have around an $80 billion dollars market cap. However, many of their Silicon Valley investments including Uber are starting to go bad. And the company recently announced that they are bailing out WeWork and rewarding the fraudulent former WeWork founder and CEO with a large buyout/golden parachute.
