U.S. House of Representatives introduced the America COMPETES Act designed to advance U.S. competitiveness and leadership around the globe earlier this week. A new provision in the bill could allow the Treasury Secretary to block or “impose conditions” on transactions, should the official find the transaction or the accounts involved are engaged in money laundering.
