Heidi Pease is the CEO and co-founder of the Los Angeles blockchain lab. Los Angeles Blockchain Lab is a collaboration of academia, government and business focused on building the blockchain ecosystem in Southern California. Some of the names that you might recognize are USC, UCLA, UCI and the City of Los Angeles as well as other corporate partners. And Heidi is also the CEO and co-founder of proof of art. Proof of art is a platform based upon blockchain, where we take the business out of art. So artists can focus on what they do best, which is create art. What is the attitude of the local governments about blockchain? So as the city of Los Angeles is one of our partners, and they're very excited about the strategic partner. They're very excited about blockchain. Our Mayor Eric Garcetti, whom I love if you've ever seen him, and he when he won his speech, he said, we're going to give Silicon Valley around for its Bitcoin. So they're very motivated to engage in the blockchain. They see the value in the jobs created in the investments that could be brought to Southern California, and also how blockchain can improve government services. What's the environment here? It's funny Heidi say silicon beach because we have blockchain beach Okay, blockchain beach. Now that's an official term. Same thing or different. The beach communities but maybe shrunken down a little bit more condensed where sir it's in Santa Monica goes all the way down to Venice, El Segundo and there are other pockets throughout the city, so I don't want to leave out Irvine has a lot of activity Pasadena downtown, a lot is going to and the reason being in Los Angeles for better or worse, has become the Ico hub of the United States. So we have some of the largest Ico investors the largest Ico marketing companies. We also have some of the best legal providers here. So that's part of the reason and they're all located in Santa Monica. People like to compare Silicon Valley and Silicon Beach. Silicon Valley is known for technology and Silicon Beach is known for marketing. Silicon Beach has technology, community, and diversity.
