Hedge funds, mutual funds, exchange-traded funds... to the average person, they kind-of sort of seem interchangeable but, well, they're not :) Are there similarities between hedge funds and mutual funds? Sure. Between ETFs and hedge funds? Of course. Between hedge funds, mutual funds AND exchange-traded funds? Yep. After all, in all 3 cases, you as an investor basically own a slice of the pie, so to speak.
