Cryptocurrency News: End of April News (Nasdaq, Binance, MEW, Delta App, Airswap, Request Network) Market: The market is doing okay with overall trend upwards even though some of the alts actually lost some value. Current prices: BTC = around $9.2k (+3.6%) ETH = around $672 (+7.9%) XRP = around $0.84 (-4.5%) NEO = around $78 (+3%) IOTA = around $1.96 (-4%) VEN = around $4.25 (+9.6%) EOS = around $20 (+72.5%) LTC = around $149 (-0.5%) XMR = around $244 (-9.5%) The bullish sentiment still continues and could be even better in May since a lot of people were expecting May to be very good. Nasdaq is open to becoming cryptocurrency exchange On 25th of April Nasdaq CEO Adena Friedman said "Certainly Nasdaq would consider becoming a crypto exchange over time," He also said: "I believe that digital currencies will continue to persist it's just a matter of how long it will take for that space to mature," Friedman said. "Once you look at it and say, 'do we want to provide a regulated market for this?' Certainly Nasdaq would consider it." This is very big news for cryptocurrency and very bullish signal for the future in general. While there's not specific timeframe for when it will happen it's still very good news. Binance's "Dust to BNB" is operational On 24th of April Binance has added a feature where users have the option to convert the dust (small amounts of remaining cryptocurrencies - for example (small amounts of coins you couldn't trade, like 0.995 ICN) directly into BNB. This is very useful feature for people who trade plenty of cryptocurrencies because those traders usually have a lot of tiny amounts of cryptocurrencies remaining. Binance has been one of my favourite exchanges for a long time and this is another very useful feature and good use case for BNB. MyEtherWallet has been hacked/breached On 24th of April the Google Domain Name System registration servers were hijacked so that MEW users were redirected to a phishing site. This redirecting of DNS servers is a decade-old hacking technique that aims to undermine the Internet’s routing system and is caused by hackers finding vulnerabilities in public-facing DNS servers. Affected users likely clicked the "ignore" button on the SSL warning that pops up when visiting a malicious site imitating MEW. As an user MAKE SURE there is a green bar SSL certificate that says “MyEtherWallet Inc [US]. At the time of the video the issue should be fixed. Delta won at the Webby 2018 Awards On 24th of April Delta has won the Webby 2018 Award for best Mobile User Interface. Delta is my favourite cryptocurrency tracking app and I have made a video about it where cover the features and explore why it is in my opinion the best tracking app. The award further highlights how well the Delta team has been performing: constantly improving the app, adding the features and optimising the product. AirSwap's Marketplace is now live. On 26th of April Airswap's Marketplace went live. It's basically decentralised exchange that uses atomic swaps. It allows the users to trade on AirSwap is a quick and easy way by simply searching, selecting, and trading. Once use has their wallet connected, they can search for an asset, select the counterparty for trade, and execute the trade. AirSwap is currently compatible with MetaMask or Ledger . This is great news for AirSwap tokens (AST) which basically allow to trade with zero fees. Request Network Partnership with Wikimedia On 27th of April Request Network has annouced a partnership with Wikimedia, the Foundation behind the globally recognized platform Wikipedia. Request also celebrated launch of the first WooCommerce plugin that uses the Request Network to accept cryptocurrencies with both ERC20 and BTC support including release dates and supported tokens. The Wikimedia Foundation is one of the first organizations that will soon allow its donors to support projects with any digital currency This is great news for Request because it shows real life application of the project.
