The cryptocurrency market suffered some losses over the past 24 hours, but still this has been the best week for the cryptocurrency market so far this year. Yesterday we saw the total cryptocurrency marketcap climb past $180 billion and Bitcoin surged past $5,200. We then saw Bitcoin drop below $5,000, before experiencing some small gains. It is currently hovering around $5,000. This day last year the price of Bitcoin was around $6,800. Ripple’s XRP gained the most out of the top 20 today with gains of more than 6%. The official launch of the ‘International Association for Trusted Blockchain Applications’ took place in Brussels this week. 105 Organizations including Ripple, Swift, IBM and Accenture have joined the new blockchain group. This was a really great week for Dogecoin as it hit its highest level so far this year. Yesterday Huobi Global announced it has listed Dogecoin on its platform. Today Dogecoin is in the red, it suffered losses of more than 9% over the past 24 hours. It is in 23rd place in terms of marketcap. Please remember this is news, not investment advice.
