BITCOIN & CRYPTO RUMORS CFTC & OVERSTOCK FUNDED ICO INVESTIGATED BY SEC Bitcoin trading started with the CME & CBOE, ultimately it is the CFTC that oversees Futures Trading. They do not control Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum, or any other alt coins in cryptos. However they have stated that Bitcoin is a commodity, which is not exactly what the IRS has stated, nor congruent with the SEC. Regardless Bitcoin, and alt coins, including the ICOs that are being listed on Exchanges daily will be looked at by all regulatory agencies. It is my belief that Bitcoin is the first to be on Futures Trading platforms, but Ethereum, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ripple and many others will eventually be traded. Exchanges are adding the alt coins as fast as they can. Even Robinhood recently added Cryptocurrencies for 5 States to test the demand. More Cryptocurrencies & Alt Coins as well as States will be added almost definitely considering the amount of people joining their Trading Platform is already over 1 Million and climbing fast. Overstock funding of several ICOs (tZERO) has attracted the SEC to Investigate. Overstock Founder has been very supportive of Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency in general, even accepting BTC for payment on Overstock. The SEC has made public comments and is pursing Investigation somewhat more in 2018 than 2017, partially due to the growth of ICOs.
