With a big 30m green candle in yesterday's Bitcoin (BTC) price, I thought maybe my prediction of $8250 was going to be way off. Stranger things have happened, however over the course of the following 6-12hrs the entirety of bitcoin's pump was erased. We are back floating below $10k and struggling to break above for any consistent period of time. With that said, I thought today we could look into the Gartner Hype Scale, a theory used by Pantera Capital's Dan Morehead when considering purchasing cryptocurrency. It shows a detailed examination of the major developments in the market over the course of a year and where they fall along the hype wave. It's an interesting theory that I would like to revisit from time to time.
