The cryptocurrency market continues to struggle today and we saw Bitcoin drop to as low as $6,200. It is currently around $6,300. If we take a look at the three month chart, we can see that this is still not as bad as at the end of June, when we saw it briefly drop below $6,000. It remains far away from the record high of almost $20,000 we saw in December. This time last year we saw Bitcoin climb past $3,300. Today the cryptocurrency market hit its lowest level in a year, as this heads lower we can see that Bitcoin’s dominance is growing again, moving closer to 50%. In January we saw it drop to as low as 32%. Monacoin gained more than 19% over the past 24 hours after it reached it lowest level this year. Monacoin, which was conceived in December 2013, is the first alternative cryptocurrency developed in Japan. MakerDAO and Dai are working together to bring MKR and DAI to The Ocean eco system.
