TheTedNelson: Another parallel format-- The 'Pale Fire' demo, fifty years late
In the 1960s, in a deeply-regretted project at Brown University,
I proposed to put Nabokov's novel
"Pale Fire" into a screen demo, and actually got permission
from the publisher-- but it was nixed by IBM.
Recently British researcher Simon Rowberry has said
not making that demo was a great loss.

Nevertheless, fifty years after the Brown fiasco,
Edward Betts and I finally did a "Pale Fire" demo
in December 2018, and here it is--
at least working 5 August 2019, at

The links open up nicely and stay open if you like,
or close if you like.
It's a very nice format for "Nelson documents"--
parallel pages visibly connected-- though it doesn't use
Xanadu methods.
Note that you can make a portable copy of the demo
by doing "Save As" with Chrome or Safari.
