This much is certain: the economic implications of what has happened thus far in 2020 should not be under-estimated and as such, so-called Economic Stimulus Payments have been made over in the United States... yes, the famous or infamous "stimulus checks" but which weren't necessarily checks (as explained in this video, options such as bank transfers or EIP debit cards were also used). The OME video you're about to watch explains everything you need to know about these US stimulus payments, whether you live in the States or simply want to understand how things work when it comes to the world's #1 economy. At the end of the day, the elephant in the room in terms of questions is inevitably this: was/is sending these stimulus checks a good idea? Simply put, we do not know at this point. What we do know and as this video explains, however, is that these economic stimulus payments can be considered a let's call them Universal Basic Income or UBI experiment on the one hand and on the other hand, if history and a bit of economic common sense are to offer any guidance, the likelihood of us seeing more of them in the future is quite high.
