CoinDesk: Miami Giving Bitcoin Yield as Dividend to Residents, Says Mayor Francis Suarez
Pro-crypto Miami Mayor Francis Suarez shares insights into the city's crypto ambitions as its MiamiCoin program has already generated some $20 million in less than three months. Suarez told CoinDesk for the first time, Miami will be the "first city in America to give a bitcoin yield as a dividend directly toward residents." He added, "We're going to create a digital wallet for our residents, and we're going to give them a bitcoin directly from the yield of MiamiCoin."
