The cryptocurrency market is in the green today, and the total crypto market cap remains around $134 billion. Ontology is the biggest gainer out of the top 30 today with gains of more than 11%. It is in 24th place in terms of marketcap. And today saw Bitcoin reach $4,000, so let’s take a closer look. This day last year it was around $10,000. We saw Bitcoin tumble to a 2018 low in December touching $3,200. Last week we saw it stuck at around $3,600 but this week seemed more positive for Bitcoin. On Tuesday, Bitcoin briefly touched $4,000, and as a result we saw CME Bitcoin futures reach a daily all-time high of over 18,000 contracts trading on February 19. The Ethereum Constantinople hardfork is scheduled to take place between the 25th and 28th of February. The ethereum constantinople upgrade was originally suppose to happen in January, but was postponed due to potential issues and vulnerabilities. At the start of January we saw the price of ethereum hit $160, today we saw it moving towards $150. This day last year it was over $800. Please remember this is news, not investment advice.
