WallStForMainSt: New China Coronavirus Bailout? PBOC Does Another $171 Billion Dollar Emergency Liquidity Injection

Yesterday, the People's Bank of China (PBOC), China's central bank, announced that it was going to inject another 1.2 trillion Chinese Yuan (roughly $171 billion dollars) in emergency liquidity injections through open market operations to help the Chinese economy deal with the problems from the coronavirus outbreak.
This latest amount of emergency liquidity injections when combined with record amounts of 14 day repos already injected in the last few weeks of around $300 billion dollars has put right around $500 billion dollars in liquidity injections into the Chinese economy in just the last few weeks.
China's economy was having immense problems before the coronavirus outbreak but the coronavirus outbreak is clearly having very damaging effects on China's economy.
Meanwhile, the PBOC and Chinese government officials assure foreigners that the effects of the virus on the economy are very temporary.
China has also banned short selling and is not allowing institutional investors long Chinese A shares from selling large blocks of stock for at least 6 months.
