These practices might be lucrative on the short term, they obviously lack overall sustainability. With Cryptocurrency and Bitcoin (BTC) growing in public awareness following the Facebook Libra Congressional Hearing, it's got me thinking about what regulation will bring and how many, oh so many projects will be thrust into the sketchy spotlight for unethical practices. Take Alexey Andryunin for example. His business is based off fake volume, where small exchanges purchase themselves some relevancy in order to get the ball rolling. Often times the ball doesn't roll far, but enough for the founding members to cash out or move on with newfound capital. It's a lot like the phenomenon happening on social media with aspiring influencers botting views or paying for followers. In time, the bad actors will be weeded out and good actors will prosper. However, until then...Everything must be handled with scrutiny and caution, for many altcoins in existance today will suffer an untimely death (if they haven't already).
